Partial Closure Due to Power Line Project

In order to improve the reliability of the electric system in the Met-Ed service area, Mid-Atlantic Interstate Transmission is rebuilding a high-voltage power line that runs alongside the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail.

To complete this work as safely and efficiently as possible, a nearly four-mile section of the rail trail will be closed to the public from November 7 until January 13 during construction. This section runs from the trail’s Eighth Street entrance south to its Cornwall Road entrance, and all entrances in between will be closed until construction is complete.
